Scholarship Program

The establishment of the IABTI Scholarship Fund in 2005 stemmed from the donation of seed money from two IABTI members; Roger Golden of Region III and an anonymous donor from Region VI. Collectively, the International Executive Board (IEB) and the Advisory Committee set forth the objectives for the IABTI Benevolent/Scholarship Fund to facilitate and foster education to IABTI members and/or their dependent family members.

As living documents, the scholarship application and objectives were revised in 2011. The scholarship fund has been renamed to reflect the scholarship fund as the IABTI Educational Scholarship Fund. Criteria have also been set forth for IABTI members who desire to establish a Named Scholarship Fund in an individual’s honor or memory.

In June 2011, IEB recommended that scholarships be awarded in the amount of $3,000.00, $1,500.00 and $1,000.00 pursuant to funds available in the scholarship fund. The recommended award amounts may be adjusted by the IEB in accordance with the rising costs of tuition and pursuant to funds available in the scholarship fund.

The Advisory Committee is responsible for evaluating and rating the scholarship applicants. The completed evaluations/ratings are reported back to the IEB through the Chair of the Advisory Committee. Although the Advisory Committee does not make recommendations as to award amounts, the Advisory Committee agrees to recommend scholarship applicants that are the most deserving of scholarships per the guidelines set forth in the Duties and Responsibilities of the IEB, the Advisory Committee and the International Business Office (IBO).

Scholarships will be awarded in amounts of $3,000.00, $1,500.00 and $1,000.00 USD each.

Thank you to the 2025 IABTI Scholarship Fund applicants!
